Questions Every North Phoenix Homeowner Should Ask About Their Home's Health
DRAINS
Kitchen sink clogs are usually caused by a buildup of grease, soap residue, food particles, and debris that collect inside the drain over time. Even if water is still draining, that buildup continues to grow until it eventually slows or blocks the line.
Many homeowners assume pouring a chemical drain cleaner down the sink solves the problem. In reality, those products often create a temporary opening through the clog without removing what’s actually coating the pipe walls.
Professional drain cleaning removes the buildup throughout the pipe, not just enough to get the water moving again. That’s one reason recurring kitchen sink clogs are often a sign it’s time for a thorough cleaning instead of another quick fix.
If your kitchen sink clogs repeatedly, it’s worth having the drain inspected before a minor nuisance becomes a larger plumbing problem.
Recurring clogs usually don’t fix themselves. If your kitchen sink keeps backing up, give Rapid Rooter Plumbing & Air a call.
Many companies advertise inexpensive drain clearing, but clearing and cleaning are not the same thing.
Drain clearing simply creates an opening through the blockage so water can flow again. Think of it like poking a hole through the middle of a pile of leaves.
Drain cleaning removes the grease, sludge, soap scum, and debris coating the inside of the pipe. That leaves the drain much cleaner and reduces the chances of another clog in the near future.
At Rapid Rooter Plumbing & Air, our goal isn’t just to restore flow. We want to remove the material that caused the problem whenever possible.
If your drains keep clogging every few months, ask about professional drain cleaning instead of a temporary drain clearing.
In many cases, yes. Hydro jetting is safe when performed on plumbing that is in good condition. Before recommending hydro jetting, we evaluate the condition of the drain line to make sure it’s an appropriate solution.
That’s one reason camera inspections are so valuable. If a pipe has significant damage, offsets, or has collapsed, hydro jetting may not be the right option.
When the pipe is structurally sound, hydro jetting can remove grease, scale, sludge, and debris far more effectively than many traditional drain cleaning methods.
Every plumbing system is different, which is why the right recommendation starts with a proper inspection instead of a one-size-fits-all solution.
Not sure if hydro jetting is right for your home? We’d be happy to inspect your drain and explain your options.
A sewer camera inspection allows us to see what’s happening inside your drain line instead of guessing.
If you have recurring clogs, multiple drains backing up, slow drains throughout the house, or you’ve recently purchased an older home, a camera inspection can identify the cause.
Tree roots, pipe damage, grease buildup, and broken sewer lines often can’t be diagnosed from the surface alone.
Rather than recommending unnecessary repairs, a camera inspection helps us show you exactly what we see so you can make an informed decision.
If you’re dealing with recurring drain issues, a sewer camera inspection can provide answers before bigger problems develop.
A smelly shower drain is often caused by a buildup of soap residue, hair, bacteria, and organic material inside the drain.
Sometimes the odor is harmless and simply means the drain needs to be cleaned. Other times, unpleasant smells can indicate a larger plumbing issue that deserves attention.
Ignoring the smell usually won’t make it disappear. In fact, the buildup often continues to grow until it begins affecting drainage as well.
Cleaning the drain and identifying the source of the odor early can help prevent more significant plumbing problems later.
If your shower drain has an odor that keeps coming back, we’d be happy to help identify the cause.
HVAC
Phoenix summers are hard on air conditioners. Because our systems run for much of the year, annual maintenance is one of the best ways to improve reliability and efficiency.
During a professional ac tune-up, we inspect key components, clean the system, check refrigerant levels when appropriate, and look for signs of wear before they become larger repairs.
Routine maintenance may also help extend the life of your equipment and improve performance during the hottest months of the year.
Many emergency breakdowns begin as small issues that could have been identified during regular service.
It’s one of the most common questions we hear.
Heat naturally rises, and second stories receive more direct sunlight through the roof. Combined with longer duct runs and insulation differences, it’s common for upstairs rooms to feel several degrees warmer.
Sometimes the solution is as simple as improving airflow or adjusting dampers. Other times, it may involve insulation, ductwork, or equipment sizing.
Rather than guessing, we evaluate the home to determine what’s causing the temperature difference.
There’s no universal answer.
The age of the system, repair history, efficiency, and cost of the repair all play a role.
Sometimes replacing a small part makes perfect sense. Other times, investing that money into an aging system may not be the best long-term decision.
Our goal is to explain your options so you can choose what’s best for your home and budget.
For many homes, replacing the air filter every one to three months is a good starting point.
However, homes with pets, allergies, or higher dust levels may need more frequent changes.
A dirty filter restricts airflow, forces the system to work harder, and may reduce efficiency over time.
It’s one of the simplest maintenance tasks homeowners can do to help protect their HVAC system.
An air conditioner can freeze for several reasons, including restricted airflow, low refrigerant, dirty coils, or other mechanical issues.
Many homeowners are surprised to see ice on their AC during the hottest part of the summer, but it’s actually a common symptom of an underlying problem.
Turning the system off and allowing it to thaw is often the first step, but identifying the cause is important to prevent it from happening again.
TRUST
Hiring a licensed company means you’re working with professionals who meet state requirements and follow established standards for their trade.
It also provides accountability. Licensed contractors are expected to perform work according to applicable codes and regulations.
Your home is one of your biggest investments. Choosing qualified professionals helps protect that investment.
We believe our job goes beyond fixing today’s problem.
Being your partner in home health means helping you understand your home’s plumbing and HVAC systems, identifying potential issues before they become emergencies, and providing recommendations you can trust.
Our goal is to help homeowners make informed decisions, not pressured ones.
Cleaning a drain restores flow, but a camera inspection helps verify why the blockage occurred.
It allows us to check for root intrusion, damaged pipes, heavy buildup, or other conditions that could cause future problems.
Instead of guessing, we can show homeowners exactly what we see.
Small plumbing and HVAC problems rarely stay small.
A slow leak, worn component, or partially clogged drain can often be addressed before it becomes a major repair.
Preventative maintenance is almost always less disruptive and less expensive than emergency service.
Routine maintenance helps identify small problems before they become costly repairs.
It can also improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary wear on equipment, and help extend the life of plumbing and HVAC systems.
Like changing the oil in your car, regular maintenance is designed to keep everything running as intended for as long as possible.

We needed service on a mini-split air conditioner. Our technician Jesse James was prompt and very professional. He also shared some information to educate us on keeping the system working properly. I also appreciated how quickly they responded! Answering the phone and helping a customer right away is rare nowadays! Companies that understand the urgency of serving their clients as soon as possible always get my vote. Will recommend to others.Posted on Google![]()

After a frustrating experience with another plumbing company, I called these guys for a second opinion, and I’m so glad I did. Jared was honest, professional, and took the time to explain everything without any pressure or scare tactics. He provided the camera footage, walked me through the condition of my sewer line, and gave me straightforward recommendations. Jared is the man—a great guy who truly cares about doing the job right. These are the only guys I’ll be calling from now on. Highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

If you haven't heard of the name rapid rooter plumbing by Chad and Jessica Lee Librizzi, you need to. Luckily over the years I haven't had the need to call them (thankfully right?) But when there was a need, it was an emergency. Started with a leak, found out it was plumbing on the HVAC unit itself that was causing the leak but incredibly, they are now known as rapid rooter plumbing AND Air. Called them Sunday afternoon when most businesses are closed but the AC in my home had to be turned off to prevent the spread of damage and mold. We already had the ceilings and walls opened up to determine where it was coming from and how bad the damage was. They sent their tech Jesse out to our home in a couple hours. Diagnostics didn't take long and it was a simple fix luckily but he didn't push anything on me that wasnt needed. He was great with my dogs too. Their daughter that answered the phones was also super friendly and made sure we were gonna get taken care of because summer in Phoenix without AC is no joke. If youre looking for a family run, local, incredible company this is it. Im back to operational within a few hours of calling these guys and my dogs are no longer dying in the heat with no escape. Thanks to Chad and Jessica for building this company and especially Jesse the tech!Posted on Google![]()

I have been a part of building five restaurants, I have had 1 million commercial disasters, and I have never had service even close to how outstanding this company and their TECH, JARED, have been in this entire process! Cannot rave enough about the entire service process from the first phone call to Aspen, her follow up, Jared’s‘s rapid response and how quickly they took care of us and got us back on our feet. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
